Module 1
The beat
Tech reporting is not a gadget beat. It is money, power, and people, and it lands wherever a system makes a decision about somebody's life. In this module, we start by learning where the stories actually are.
Module 2
Finding it and checking it
The numbers are public. Almost nobody looks. In this module, we discuss government datasets and see how one of Pakistan's biggest startup collapses was reported — mostly by people who asked the obvious question.
Module 3
The law, the institutions, the human cost
Which clauses protect the people in your story, and which point back at you? In this module, we learn about laws, institutions, and how to report on technology without harming the people again.
Module 4
Writing it, pitching it, selling it
Why good reporting gets turned down and what an editor decides. In this module, we learn about where in Pakistan and abroad this work, your work, can be published.
